The Association of Solar Installers of the Philippines (ASIP) was officially born on September 22, 2022, during its historic first organizational meeting. The gathering took place at the Hamak booth inside the SMX Convention Center, MOA Complex, Pasay City, a fitting venue within a hub of commerce and innovation.
This meeting united pioneering solar professionals who recognized the urgent need for a unified trade association to professionalize, standardize, and advocate for the rapidly expanding Philippine solar industry.
The organization's first and most critical action plan was formally established: to apply for accreditation with the Department of Energy - Energy Utilization Management Bureau (DOE-EUMB). This strategic move was aimed at gaining official recognition, ensuring member companies adhered to national safety and technical standards, and elevating the credibility of the entire sector.
To lead this charge, the founding members conducted an election, appointing the inaugural set of officers for the term 2022-2023:

Prior to its formal inauguration, the seeds of the Association of Solar Installers of the Philippines (ASIP) were sown during a pivotal brainstorming session held at the SMX Convention Center, MOA Complex, Pasay City.
This initial gathering brought together key figures and pioneers from the solar installation industry. The meeting was convened in recognition of the sector's rapid yet unstructured growth. The central purpose was to address common challenges faced by installers, including the need for standardized practices, professional credibility, and a unified voice to engage with government bodies. |
